Full Care plan
A payment plan to cover all necessary dental treatment. A monthly payment paid by direct debit covers all treatment normally provided in the General Dental Services. These include examinations, x-rays, fillings, root-fillings and visits with the hygienist. Any treatment that is needed to preserve the patient's oral health is covered automatically. The only additional treatment cost to the patient is when laboratory fees may be incurred e.g. crowns, bridges, dentures. This allows the patients to choose the quality of prosthetic work for themselves. The patient simply pays the laboratory fees.
Maintenance Plan
This is a monthly payment to cover dental maintenance as agreed at the time of the contract signing. It includes dentist consultancy, oral examinations, scale and polishes, and x-rays. Any other treatment is at your private fee scale. In many cases dentists will discount these fees
Forces Familes
Forces Families Dental plan is also a Maintenance Plan. It differs in that families of service personnel sign a contract with an FFDP dentist. Other dentists in the FFDP network honour this Maintenance contract when the service personnel are posted to other areas and move their families. This plan is piloted in Scotland. It will be available UK wide soon.
Dental Accident & Emergency Insurance
IndepenDent Care plans UK Ltd provides dental insurance cover for all plan patients. The policy provides cover for treatment following dental trauma, out of hours callout fees, world wide emergency treatment, hospital benefits and oral cancer treatment.
